A small haul

On the 21st of June, my friend and I made our way to Bugis after school ๐Ÿ™ƒ

She had a baked salmon rice bowl while I had a raw salmon rice bowl for lunch at TwentyGrammes, and we shared a matcha green teaย ๐Ÿตย ice cream waffle!!!

We then made our way to Haji Lane where we bought a lot of stationery from a Taiwanese quaint shop!

These postcards cost $2 each, and all the designs were very pretty. There were two series, The Food Truck series and The Glass Terrarium series. My friend loved The Food Trucks and she bought about 5 postcards ๐Ÿ˜‚

The Alice in Wonderland stamp set was $12ย ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป I had to buy it and the pretty violin/cello pin was $10.90 and I bought it for my sister who plays the violin! Lastly, the rose gold paper clip was $1.50 and too pretty to pass it up!

It was a fun way to treat ourselves considering our exams coming up in two weeks.

What ways do you pamper yourself?

An afternoon nap

By Arthur Yap

arthur-yap Arthur Yap

the ambitious mother across the road

is at it again. proclaming her goodness

she beats the boy. shouting out his wrongs, with raps

she begins with his mediocre report-book grades.

she strikes chords for the afternoon piano lesson,

her voice stridently imitates 2nd. lang. tuition,

all the while circling the cowering boy

in a manner apt for the most strenuous p.e. ploy.

swift are all her contorted movements,

ape for every need; no soft gradient

of a consonant-vowel figure, she lumbers

& shrieks, a hit for every 2 notes missed.

his tears are dear. each monday,

wednesday, friday, miss low & madam lim

appear & take away $90 from the kitty

leaving him an adagio, clause analysis, little

pocket-money

the embittered boy across the road

is at it again. proclaming his bewilderment

he yells at her. shouting out her wrongs, with tears
